Of particular interest in this collection are monthly reports written by General Kenney from January 1943 through September 1945 describing unit conditions during the war. Other correspondence between Kenney and numerous military personnel is included, as well as printed materials dealing mainly with the air campaigns in the Pacific and reports of Japanese shipping losses during World War II. The remainder of the collection contains personal files and photographs, topical files, and speeches delivered by General Kenney from 1947 through 1948.
